ACTOR
|
Stacy attended the High School for the Performing and Visual Arts and earned her BFA from Webster University Conservatory of Theater Arts where she was one of twelve (out of the nation) recipients of the prestigious Irene Ryan/ Kennedy Center Award. She moved to Los Angeles and studied with the late great Roy London (with the likes of Brad Pitt, Geena Davis, Kristen Davis, Framke Jenson...yeah, what happened there?) She was saved by Dolph Ludgren in I COME IN PEACE, served a two and half year stint on GENERAL HOSPITAL playing nurse Sheila Cantillion and portrayed a whore with a heart of gold on QUANTUM LEAP. She got her big break when she was reunited with Dean Stockwell as a series regular on the sit com IN THE MOOD. Unfortunately, it wasn't picked up. She worked on the short lived MAYBE THIS TIME along with Craig Ferguson in his first tv role in the US. He went on to become a star of late night and she went on to be one of the few clothed women in BREAST MEN. Stacy lost out on the roles of Rachel on Friends, Grace on Will and Grace and Scully on X Files but isn't bitter. Stacy was last not seen on CRIMINAL MINDS. She very much enjoyed her scene with the awesome Mandy Pantikin but predicted its uselessness to the story and was not surprised (or disappointed) when it was cut. She's performed in many plays around town. Some of her favorite roles were Princess Leia Magdalene in JESUS CHRIST SUPER STAR WARS and Anette, the retarded Asian baton twirler in THE KING AND I KNOW WHAT YOU DID LAST SUMMER. Stacy most enjoyed VANGSNESS/MCQUEEN. A show she co-starred/co-created with her dear friend Kirsten Vangsness.

WRITER
|
Stacy studied playwriting with Doug Soderburg at Webster's Conservatory, attended Robert McKee's seminar and was one of the 12 (out of 400 applicants) writers chosen to participate in Wordsmiths at the Los Angeles Theater Center. She attended Women in Theater's playwriting class as well as Natalie Rothenburg's Story Analyst Seminar.
She was a reader for the Chesterfield Fellowship, Ross World Wide Media and Farhad Mann Productions. She did script analysis for WriteMovies.com and The Academy of Art University in San Francisco and spent a couple of years trying to build up her script doctoring business, Scriptherapy.
Her short plays have been seen at Theater Neo (THE BIRTHDAY SONG, DAYTIME TRAUMA, PLANT LOVE) , Company of Angels (TO HAVE AND TO HOLD), Candlefish Theater Company (BIRTHDAY SONG) and at Theater of Note (VANGSNESS/MCQUEEN)
Stacy's spec script for Arrested Development placed 4th in Scriptapalooza's sit com contest which means absolutely nothing.
Stacy spent years working on a script called THE UNDERTAKING. It's under her bed if you care to read it. Along with many other plays, spec scripts and hair scrunchies.

HUMAN
|
Stacy has pet an octopus, flown over an active volcano and been a demonstrator of the 'Indian Towel'. She was a tequila goddess at the world famous Cadillac Bar, met Dick Cavett AND Dick Van Dyke, been a hospice volunteer and swam in the freezing waters of Crater Lake. A lover of snails and chili lime salt (although not together) Stacy's a rabid optimist who not only sees the glass half full but sees it as half a glass more than what those poor bastards have in Africa, so shut it and be grateful. She's a master mingler, professional procraftinator and a so so fake hula dancer. A Texas native, Stacy has four brothers, two pets, and one very attractive smarty pants husband.
